Wise-cracking Detroit police officer Axel Foley returns unexpectedly to his former stomping ground in Los Angeles after his estranged daughter Jane Saunders is targeted by masked assailants. Jane is a criminal defence attorney and she has recently agreed to represent Sam Enriquez , who is accused to murdering a cop.
