Speaking to MailOnline, Big Willy Collins' widow Kathleen said that there would be a war between her and the council if she is forced to make adjustments to Willy's 10ft tall memorial in Sheffield.

William Collins, dubbed the King of Sheffield, died from a heart attack on holiday in Majorca in 2020 aged 49. His widow Kathleen wanted to mark her husband's life with a giant headstone at Sheffield's Shiregreen cemetery using Carrara marble imported from Italy. The family was granted planning permission for the memorial, but when the 10-feet high structure with two life size statues of 'Big Willy' were unveiled, the council began receiving complaints.

Big Willy was born in the town of Athlone in central Ireland and was one of 16 brothers and sisters. He moved to Sheffield as a boy in 1980 with his family and grew up in the Pitsmoor district. Willy met Kathleen when she was eight and he was ten and they married in Sheffield in 1990 aged 17 and 19. Together they had 13 children, six boys and seven girl and they are believed to have 400 nieces and nephews.
