Not only did she pen her latest single, “Male Fantasy,” alongside brother Finneas, but she also directed and edited the visualizer. Released this week, the music video depicts a melancholic Billie as she spends an aimless day indoors.
Written about a love-hate relationship with porn, the track explores how it can establish and promote unrealistic standards. “I decided that it was actually a really good idea for a song to talk honestly about pornography because it’s an uncomfortable thing to talk about,” Billie toldback in September. "Pornography can make you feel violated and good at the same time, and this conversation turned into a song. It was hard to write because we wanted it to be as revealing as possible.
