A sprawling midcentury home once owned by the crooner Bing Crosby is singing a new tune. The Rancho Mirage, CA, estate has returned to the market for $4.5 million. In 2019, the price came down to $4,595,000, and then dropped again to $3,950,000. In 2020, the asking price was reduced to just under $3.5 million. Despite the series of price cuts, the home failed to attract a buyer. It has now returned at a higher price, newly represented by David Emerson and Alexandra Trejo, both of Compass.

The 6,700 square feet of living space includes a bar and a gas fireplace. Elsewhere, there’s a billiard-room and a home theater. For the owner, there’s a massive 1,400-square-foot primary bedroom suite. For guests, there are two additional en suite bedrooms or a two-bedroom guesthouse. Hillsborough home Crosby owned multiple properties in the Golden State, including one in the exclusive San Francisco Bay Area town of Hillsborough, CA.

Their time in this particular mansion was short-lived, since the family then moved to a larger home in the area, a 32-room property nearby, where Kathryn continued to reside after Crosby’s death.
