Town's homeless pods that keep vulnerable people off the streets
Work to provide homeless pods in the grounds of a former leisure centre has been given national recognition.
Now with NHS funding they will remain on site until at least March 2024. Representatives of the team will be attending the LGC awards ceremony in London on Thursday.Mark Aspin, the council’s head of service for community safety and vulnerable people, said: “This has been a life-changing project for people that are amongst the most disadvantaged in the borough.
