actor Justin Baldoni as the book meets the screen.is a story of a woman who tries to end the cycle of abuse for herself and her child, and it’s just as tear-jerking as it sounds - so we hope the film follows suit.
Reacting to the cast announcement earlier this week, the author said that Blake was her “dream” protagonist. “Our Lily is going to be played by Blake Lively. Blake Lively, y'all. She's my dream Lily,” Colleen said on Instagram., I immediately wanted him to be Ryle. I just thought that he had what it takes to play that character. The good news is he's gonna be Ryle. So we have our Ryle and our Lily.
Colleen added that she believes Blake and Justin “have what it takes to bring these characters to life”.
