Blue plaque goes up where Rishi Sunak was caught failing to wear seatbelt in Blackpool

A joker has commemorated the spot where Rishi Sunak was filmed in a car whilst not wearing a seatbelt by putting up a blue plaque.

He was later handed a fixed penalty notice after police investigated the matter. At the time, a Downing Street spokesman said Mr Sunak 'fully accepts this was a mistake’ and apologised for the incident. Unwilling to let the moment be forgotten, one prankster has now slapped a version of the well-known English Hertiage Blue Plaque sign, which marks historic locations, onto a lamppost in Blackpool, reports Lancs Live.
