Police say the suspect attempted to flee the scene
A BMW driver allegedly racing with other cars in Glasgow city centre fled the scene of a crash then later failed a breathalyser, police claim.
He will be reported to the procurator fiscal for road traffic offences and is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court. 'Fatal five' offences are careless driving, drink and drug driving, not wearing a seatbelt, excessive speed and distracted driving, including mobile phone use, all linked to a higher rate of road traffic incidents among drivers.
