Saget had head injuries that led to his death.
According to the Orange County Chief Medical Examiner Joshua Stephany, Saget suffered extensive injuries to the back of his head and around his eyes..” No drugs or alcohol was found in his body.
Surveillance video showed Saget entering the hotel room at 2:17 a.m. on Jan. 9 and hanging the “Do Not Disturb” sign on the doorknob before closing the hotel room door. Investigators said the door of the room was not opened again until hotel security guards entered the room around 4 p.m. and found Saget’s body in bed,Police said they were unable to find any blood or hair on the room’s end tables or the marble countertops in the bathroom. According, Saget was found lying on his back in bed.
Last week a Florida judge agreed with a request from Saget’s family to temporarily prohibited the release of any photos, video or other records related to the investigation into his death.
