The family of missing Barry McCullagh have been informed
Police were alerted to the discovery at Old Patrick Water in Elderslie, Johnstone, East Renfrewshire, at 6.15pm on Sunday, March 26. While formal identification is yet to take place, Barry's family have been informed.
Images show multiple police vehicles, a fire engine, ambulance crews and a water rescue boat in attendance. In January, we told how Barry's heartbroken loved ones turned to a psychic in a desperate bid to trace his whereabouts. When he began hallucinating and appeared agitated his worried family phoned an ambulance. They thought Barry would be taken from his Castlemilk home to a Glasgow hospital but he was taken to the RAH where he was sedated.
