A man's body has been found in a pond after a huge emergency service response descended upon woodland close to Wigan.
Police, firefighters and paramedics were all called to Tawd Valley Park, in Skelmersdale, Lancashire, earlier this afternoon . A scene was in place around the Half Mile Island roundabout and the woodland surrounding Half Mile Island fishing lake, LancsLive reports.A force spokesman said: "We were called to Tawd Valley Park, Skelmersdale, at 2.11pm today to reports a body had been found in a pond. Emergency services have attended and sadly found the body of a man.
