The body of an Indian man who was climbing Mount Everest with missing Irishman Seamus Lawless has been recovered.
Director of Seven Summit Treks, Tashi Lakpa Sherpa said: "The team has recovered body of Ravi Thakar, who was found dead inside his tent at Camp IV on Mt Everest." Seamus, who was about to become a father for the second time, reportedly fell from an altitude of 8,300m in an area known as the balcony. A fundraising campaign has since been launched on behalf of Mr Lawless’ wife Pam and their four-year-old daughter Emma, on the crowdfunding site, Gofundme.com, to enable the recovery operation when it allowed to go-ahead by Nepalese officials.
“The insurance company that had provided a policy for Séamus are currently not providing assistance with the search and rescue.
