After looking around, the man pretending to be a plumber asked about cash kept within the house.

Police have urged residents in Paisley to be vigilant following reports of a bogus workman who targeted an elderly woman in her home.

The man entered the property in the Alice Street area claiming to be a plumber around 2pm on November 10. After looking around, he enquired about cash kept within the house before leaving empty-handed. He is described as white, Scottish, around 5ft 4in tall, and unshaven. He was wearing a blue shirt, dark body warmer, and grey beanie hat, and was holding a black clipboard.Officers are keen to speak to anyone who has information about this man or has had similar experiences in the area.
