BORIS Johnson's "Mr Fixit" quits as MP "with immediate effect" sparking a by-election headache for Rishi Sunak.has today resigned and will no longer represent Selby and Ainsty - a role he was in since May 2010.It comes after former PM Boris Johnson threw in the towel last nightAdams was seen as a Cabinet enforcer and served in the Foreign Office, as Sports Minister and a party whip.
In a public statement on Saturday he said: "Yesterday, Selby Conservatives selected an excellent new parliamentary candidate. "I’ve today informed the chief whip that I will be standing down as a Member of Parliament with immediate effect. "It has been an honour to represent the area where I was raised, educated & I want to thank my constituents for their wonderful support since 2010."
