Wires were found near the body of a deceased adult male who had suffered severe trauma.
The Walnut Creek Bomb Squad has been called to the scene where a body was found Monday morning near 17th and F streets in Antioch.
Antioch Police Department Strategic Communications Officer Darryl Saffold said in a press conference that wires were found near the body, which he described as a deceased white adult male. Police were called to the scene around 7:32 a.m. Saffold said, noting that wounds suggested the person suffered severe trauma. No casings were found in the area, he said.
