Network Rail workers stumbled across the suspected device
Emergency services were scrambled to a railway embankment this morning following the discovery of a suspicious item.
After being unable to determine what the item was, explosives experts were called. There was no disruption to rail services throughout the operation.Bomb squads later found the item was not explosive. No further details regarding the nature of the item have been release.
