As well as being renowned for its wine, Bordeaux is known as a gastronomic paradise, so you’ll definitely want to check out the markets dotted about the city selling fresh, locally produced seafood, vegetables, breads and cheeses. The Capuchin market, Chartrons market and Bacalan market each have a unique atmosphere and offer the perfect opportunity to sample the specialities of the South West.
