Bringing Boris Johnson back as prime minister and party leader would damage the Conservative election chances, a Tory election expert has said
into whether he misled Parliament over No 10 parties during the Covid-19 lockdown.

He said that Mr Johnson had a -47 rating when it came to “trustworthiness”, whereas Mr Sunak’s was 12. He predicted the Conservatives would lose seats in May but said the results may not be as bad for the party as they could have been considering the party was “seriously damaged by the events of last summer and autumn”.
