BORIS JOHNSON could be 'criticised' but cleared of breaking the ministerial code after it was revealed a Tory donor paid for his flat refurbishment.
The conclusions of a second inquiry are to be published shortly and follow an accusatory report from the Electoral Commission that claimed: “the laws around the reporting and recording of donations were not followed.”Boris Johnson was accused of asking donors to “secretly pay” for the refurbishment of his actual flat above 11 Downing Street by his former chief adviser Dominic Cummings.
