The GBX Anthems DJ will be the special guest at Vics Park event

GBT in the Park Festival is taking place at Vics Park on Benhar Road on Wednesday, October 18.

Organised by Shotts community organisation, Getting Better Together , DJ John Allan will also be spinning the tunes from 2pm to 4pm prior to the GBX Anthems being blasted out by the radio personality from 4pm to 5pm.Get all the news from your area – as well as features, entertainment, sport and the latest on Lanarkshire’s recovery from the coronavirus pandemic – straight to your fingertips, 24/7.

The free download features the latest breaking news and exclusive stories, and allows you to customise your page to the sections that matter most to you.There will also be a host of other fun activities including, bouncy castles and inflatables; face painting; and “festival hair”. The GBT cafe will be open and there will also be a tuck shop where snacks, drinks and sweets can be purchased.
