CREATOR: Makai Williams has created the new block party for children to be entertained and empowered
The schoolboy wants to provide a transformative experience for young people, while addressing the growing concerns that negative music influences can contribute to street crime and low self-esteem. Makai, said he noticed that his peers were being exposed to music with negative themes, which often resulted in undesirable outcomes and wanted to make a difference.The event, will also combine self-development activities, workshops, inspiring special guests and a safe space for children and their families to grow and express themselves positively.
He is urging the community to use the summer holidays to engage in positive community events that can help build self-confidence in the next generation.
