BREAKING: Boy, 11, rushed to hospital after being hit by vehicle on busy main road
An 11-year-old boy has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a vehicle on a busy main road. Emergency services raced to the incident on Liverpool Road in Eccles at 3.30pm.
Emergency services closed off the busy road, close to the Barton Road junction, for a short while before the youngster was taken to hospital by paramedics. The driver involved remained at the scene and is assisting with enquiries.Transport for Greater Manchester announced the busy main road was closed in both directions for a short while, before the scene was later cleared.
