One of the two boys accused of the murder of Ana Kriégel told gardaí he had given them a "fake story" of his movements on the day the schoolgirl was last seen.
He was shown footage of another boy, dressed in black, in the park. Boy B identified this boy as his co-accused but said it was "really strange" that Boy A was in that location at that time. Gardaí put the times of footage to the boy along with the people he had identified, and asked him if he saw that it was inconsistent with what he had told them so far.Gardaí asked him to "please, please, please" tell them truth. They said all they wanted was the truth.Gardaí said it was impossible for Boy B to have met Boy A in the place and at the time he had claimed to them, because the footage showed Boy A was already in a different area of the park.
