Police hunt man and boy after the child said 'you're not my dad, leave me alone'
A BOY has been found safe and well after he was misheard telling a man "you're not my dad, leave me alone".
Cops confirmed a false call was made to them "with good intent" yesterday - sparking an urgent hunt for the "suspicious" man.In an update some hours later, police said the boy had been found safe and well with his dad. A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police's Moston and Harpurhey team said: "An appeal was earlier made after a report of a suspicious man with a child.
"Enquiries have been followed up and we can report that this ultimately was a false call made with good intent.The alleged incident had been said to have happened in the Angel Meadow area just to the northeast of Manchester city centre on Sunday afternoon.Most read in The Sun
