Asylum rights campaigners have taken a swipe at the 'cruelty' of the UK Government towards migrants with a creative protest at an immigration centre in England
The group shared an image of the protest on social media with the caption: “We rebranded the refugee ‘processing centre’ in Manston so everybody knows who's responsible for it.”The Home Office is facing threats of legal action over the conditions at the centre, which has seen disease outbreaks. Migrant groups have also accused the government of failing to look after children held at the facility.
It has sparked a major row over the Government’s asylum policy, which the Conservatives have said is “broken”. Freedom from Torture were previously involved in the successful effort to have the airline contracted by the Home Office to deport refugees to Rwanda pull out of the project.
