The Brendan Courtney Show aired for one season on TV3, now Virgin Media from 2005 until 2006.
Presenter Brendan Courtney has revealed he “absolutely hated” hosting his own chat show.
But the Dubliner said he is much more “in the zone” when he fills in on RTE Radio 1 for presenters such as Oliver Callan and Ray D’Arcy. “That’s probably why the whole experience was a bit of a nightmare, really, because I wasn’t in the zone. I’m completely in the zone now. But also, I’m not as hungry as I was now. I’m much more chilled,” he said.
“It was a horrible time for everyone and I was slightly removed from it because I wasn’t implicated in any way because I was covering. But it wasn’t affecting me.” “I think myself and Oliver deserve an award for grace. Like we just held our grace, did it and we were stalked and dogged to talk and we didn’t.
He said: “I am proud to lend my support to Shine A Light again this year and to help raise much needed funds for the vital services that Focus Ireland provides to vulnerable families and individuals across Ireland.
