But the presenter pointed out that "this is not my show" - explaining that the radio host role is just temporary.
Brendan also presented the RTE show last week - following the departure of comic Oliver Callan, who had been filling in for Ryan for the previous few weeks.Ryan has been absent from his RTE slot since it was revealed that his salary was underreported by €345,000 between 2017 to 2022.Brendan told RTE radio listeners on Monday that he was "very touched" by the influx of messages he received from fans after he recently opened up about his mother’s "frustrating" dementia journey.
The presenter revealed at the weekend that he felt "broken" from the ongoing fight to keep his ageing mother out of a nursing home."I told a story about my mother’s dementia yesterday in the paper, and I just want to say thank you to everyone who has messaged me.Brendan interviewed general manager Emma Dennis of Bluebird Care on Monday, explaining how he was just temporarily filling in as a presenter - but didn’t mention Tubs.
