Emmet Brennan faces Kevin Cronin on the Callum Walsh card at the 3Arena on Friday
Emmet Brennan returned home to a heroes' reception in Dublin's North Inner City on an open top bus with Kellie Harrington following his friend's first Olympic gold medal win in Tokyo.
The super-middleweight and 15-0 super-lightweight Pierce O'Leary are both proud Dublin Docklands fighters and can take nothing but inspiration from their neighbour Harrington. "Like the two of us when we're training together, we're just going round to round where we're pushing each other on, same as all the other lads and girls in the boxing club. That environment that is in the Docklands, it brings you on."
"The sobriety has helped me stay positive, helped me stay on the right track because I know I have a cut-off age of 37 so I've four more years left in this game. I want to give this everything," he stated.
