Brian Dowling and Arthur Gourounlian, a same-sex couple, were forced to contact the police after homophobic trolls shared their home address online. The couple has faced increasing online abuse since welcoming their two daughters, Blake and Blu, through surrogacy.

Brian Dowling and Arthur Gourounlian had to contact Gardai after trolls shared their home address online. The long-standing couple have faced a wave of online abuse from homophobic trolls since welcoming their daughters, two-year-old Blake and baby Blu, who was born in June. Brian and Arthur needed to contact the police prior to Blu being born over the summer. Things escalated leading up to Blu's arrival. Our address had been shared online so we contacted the Gards,' Brian explained.

'There is a negative obsession with certain people in how Arthur and I live our lives. Maybe it's because we're two men. 'We're both gay, married and have two children by surrogacy. All that stuff some people disagree with that we see as positives.' When it comes to parenting, Brian is a worrier whereas Arthur is calm, and The Six O'Clock Show host says their differences is what makes things work. 'Having a second child made me more panicky. You feel stretched already with just one, and then with the second it's 'Oh my goodness',' he told the RTE Guide. The scariness and vulnerability of raising children is the biggest lesson Brian has learned since becoming a dad. The death of his mum Rosie in 2018 has forced the radio presenter to look at life through a different lens. He said: 'I'm in constant fear that something will happen to the girls. 'I'm still scarred from losing mam so dramatically. I still carry the trauma of her death and cry on her anniversary and birthday. 'She would have been 68 in December, so young. Now my life expectancy in my mind is 61. 'So I love my girls so much that I also live in fear of losing them.' Brian and Arthur have publicly spoken about legal issues relating to surrogacy in Irelan
