Samantha hit headlines last week when she ranted in an online post about how “vile” and “rude” the Eurosong panel were, which included Brian's husband Arthur Gourounlian

Virgin Media star Brian Dowling has said Samantha Mumba “crossed the line” when she ranted about his husband Arthur Gourounlian for being part of the Eurosong panel.

“They know numerous people. They've met numerous times before. You know, I think it was her comments that were talking about Arthur's lack of credentials. I think she labelled Arthur a dancer with no formal experience, and Arthur trained himself. He was living in Armenia. He was a refugee. There was a war going on. There were bigger things to do than learn to dance.

But he also admitted he thought Samantha set a bad example for her daughter Sage by posting her rant under a picture with the teenager. “I think Donal’s recipes for eggplant and aubergine has gone through the roof. I see. I think what's been really fun is people tapping into it, because the world is quite heavy and dark at the moment, so much shit going on. So I think it's brought a bit of light relief, really.”“And I know Samantha put some stuff off that she also deleted, so maybe now she's thinking somebody needs to take her phone away. Realistically, as everyone said, the public also agreed with the panel.

“Arthur is very passionate about what he does. And I think Arthur, instead of, you know, coming out and saying something, he was so proud, they did a Eurovision special for Dancing on Sunday, and they dedicated a Eurovision song from Armenia, and Arthur was quite emotional with that.” Brian and Katja will be celebrating the Six O’Clock Show’s milestone birthday on Monday on Virgin Media.
