Kerr has been critical of Stephen Kenny in the past but took aim at the team's performance.
Brian Kerr has continued his criticism of the Ireland football team as they prepare for their upcoming qualifiers against Greece and Gibraltar.
Appearing on Virgin Media Sport's coverage on Thursday night, he said: "It is a huge ask. It's hard to see how we can get back into it. All you can do is win your last three games and hope that results go for you in some way but I don't see it happening. "I think they are just playing out the matches now. While there might be a bit of a revenge mission against Greece, the truth of it is losing the game away to Greece. People have accepted in some way we were expected to lose to the Netherlands and to lose to France twice. I don't think that should have been the way.
