Brian McFadden has opened up about decision to leave Westlife 20 years ago in a chat with Nicky Byrne for his new podcast.
It’s the interview that has been teased all week. And we were up and at ’em to listen to it as soon as it dropped.
He confessed: “The idea of why I left has changed. The more I think back on it and the more I put myself back in that headspace different things come into my head as why I wanted to leave.” “It was probably way too early to leave. But the same time, my headspace, whatever was going on at home and having two kids and being away all the time, I was like ‘No, I need to step away from this’,” he told Nicky.“Years later, I look back and go, ‘I probably could have done another tour’. Maybe if I had some time off I might have felt a bit different and my mind would have changed.
He went on to clarify: “You saw what happened then when I did go home, I ended up breaking up with Kerry . So there was a lot more going on behind the scenes than just Westlife.”
