Football Insider has learned that Brighton are now the frontrunners to sign Leeds United star Tyler Adams after his Chelsea move collapsed.
That development came after another twist in Chelsea’s British-record pursuit of Moises Caicedo – which now looks set to be completed in the coming days.
Adams has returned to Elland Road for the time being, but Premier League clubs are still keen to trigger hisBrighton are very much in the market for a new midfield signing this summer as they brace to lose Caicedo to Chelsea.that the Seagulls are “big admirers” of Adams and are now exploring a potential deal for the United States international.The former RB Leipzig star, who was relegated with Leeds at the end of the 2022-23 campaign, is currently out injured and hasn’t played since March.
He was initially expected to be out until the end of September with the hamstring problem he sustained last term.the combative midfielder could now return to action before the end of August after making good progress in his recovery.The Whites are facing an exodus of players following relegation to the Championship, with nine already quitting – and even more keen on leaving the club.
