Brit kids spend over four and half hours a day staring at phones and tablets

BRITISH kids spend more than four-and-a-half HOURS per day on electrical devices, and only 40 minutes outside, according to a survey.

That means children are spending a THIRD of their waking hours getting frazzled by their screens and only six per cent of their day in the fresh air.The study of 1,500 parents of children aged six to 16 found seven in 10 parents are desperate to get their youngsters outside moreThe study of 1,500 parents of children aged six to 16 found seven in 10 are desperate to get their youngsters outside more.

But 63 per cent sometimes find it hard to get their child off their devices and into the great outdoors. This has led to almost a quarter of mums and dads admitting to feeling ‘sad’ when their nippers want constant screen time. The study also found that more than two thirds believe their kids are ‘addicted to screens' these days.
