The 'catch all' approach of just marching onto the lawn and mowing the whole thing to one length is soon to be a thing of the past
Gardeners are being advised to incorporate 'uneven' patterns into their lawn mowing this summer for an important reason. The practice of uniformly mowing the entire lawn at a singular height is gradually becoming obsolete.
It's suggested that gardeners cut the grass short around crucial areas such as paths and play lawns, whilst maintaining longer grass near borders. Nature supporting organisation, Plantlife, reinforces the point, stating: "We know that some parts of your garden will need to be kept short, such as paths and recreational lawns for playing."They continued: "Just think carefully about where, and how large, these patches need to be.
