After Sunday’s loss at Empower Field, Hackett called Gordon’s fumble “unacceptable.” In 41 career games with the Broncos, Gordon fumbled 12 times. Half of those came in his final 11 games with the franchise. Denver is also likely to elevate Devine Ozigbo from the practice squad as the No. 3 tailback. Mike Boone is currently on injured reserve with an ankle injury, but he did conditioning work on the side field for the Broncos last week and could return to the mix later this month.After torching Broncos cornerback Pat Surtain II for the game-winning touchdown in overtime on Sunday, Raiders wideout Davante Adams celebrated on the field with Raiders teammates and coaches, and dunked on PS2.
“Davante definitely likes to create some, uh, excitement there,” said Hackett, who coached the receiver in Green Bay. “And I think we’re going to see a lot of great battles with those two guys.”Outside linebacker Randy Gregory, who has been out since Week 4 with a knee injury, remains on injured reserve. Hackett said the edge rusher, who had two sacks and two forced fumbles in his first four games with Denver, is “day-to-day.
