Authorities said 62-year-old Frank R. James was spotted by bystanders in the area of St. Marks Place and First Avenue in the East Village Wednesday.
Frank James, the man wanted for allegedly opening fire on a rush-hour subway train in Brooklyn, shooting 10 people, is in custody, sources told ABC News.
Officials say the investigation remains ongoing, and they urge anyone with additional information to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA . Ten people were struck by bullets, while others were either grazed or hurt in the chaos that followed.
