On what felt like the first official day of spring, Brown Thomas unveiled its SS25 collection, titled 'Portrait of Style,' featuring highlights from renowned international designers such as Victoria Beckham, Erdem, Loewe, Dries Van Noten, and Christian Dior. This season promises to be vibrant and colorful, with key trends emerging from the runway presentations. Bold, statement-making colors take center stage, as seen in collections by Dries Van Noten and Victoria Beckham.
Fresh interpretations of florals are abundant, ranging from darker color palettes explored by Erdem and Ulla Johnson to brighter, more ethereal styles showcased by Zimmermann and Chloé. Sharp, sophisticated tailoring is evident in designs by The Row and Loewe, while a softer approach is adopted by Cecilie Bahnsen and Bite Studios, incorporating delicate tulle layers and dresses layered over trousers. JW Anderson's feminine dresses are given an edge with Chloé's combat boots, complementing the prim and pretty 1960s-inspired shift dresses from Alessandro Michele's latest collection for Valentino. Exquisitely embellished blazers by Erdem and Dries Van Noten are a standout detail.Adding to the excitement of the season, Brown Thomas welcomes several new brands, including Phoebe Philo, The Frankie Shop, The Garment, and Bite Studios, all arriving this month. The Georgian rooms at the Merrion Hotel provided the perfect backdrop for guests to enjoy a champagne arrival and live music by the D-strings trio before the show. Adding an artistic touch to the event, a live portrait was being created by an artist on stage throughout the proceedings. By the time the models took their final walk, the completed portrait was unveiled, offering a true 'Portrait of Style' that captured the essence of the season.
