He had earlier performed at a sold-out event on Wednesday, sharing a picture of the crowd to social media. However, he has now been forced to cancel Saturday’s concert, after Palestinian militants launched an attack on Israel on Saturday morning.
‘Enough is enough,’ he said in a recorded message, and claimed more than 5,000 rockets had been launched into Israel as he called on Palestinians to join the fight. Israel Defense Forces have hit back by striking targets in Gaza and declared a ‘state of readiness for war’, while a call-up for military reserve forces has also been approved. Foreign Secretary James Cleverly has condemned ‘horrific’ attacks by Palestinian militants from the Gaza Strip in southern Israel.
