The PSPCA updated to its page that the two individuals — a 17-year-old and a 12-year-old – have surrendered to police and the dogs have been taken into custody by the SPCA.

Buddy the cat is hanging in there in the fight for his life after authorities say two young men in Philadelphia’s Frankford neighborhood encouraged their dogs to maul him earlier this week.

“Good boy!” one of the them can be heard telling one of the dogs before a man in the home came out and stopped the disturbing scene,“Buddy is still hanging in there,” the Pennsylvania Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals posted Thursday to its web page. Meanwhile, Buddy is still listed in critical condition who is reportedly “suffering from wounds across his body,” but “does not appear to have any internal bleeding or broken bones.”
