Paschal Donohoe has announced that an additional bonus payment will be made to all those on social welfare in January
There will also be double payments of Child Benefit before Christmas and a double Foster Care Benefit payment this year.There will also be a once-off €400 payment to those who get Carers Allowance, Disability Allowance and others.There will also be a one-off double week Cost of Living support to be paid to all qualifying recipients.
Minister Donohoe also announced permanent changes to social protection measures targeting the well-being of children. "I am raising the Qualified Child Increase by €4, to €46 a week for under-12s, and €54 per week for over-12s," he said."Parent's Benefit will be extended to nine weeks from August 2024, and I'm also increasing the monthly rate of the Domiciliary Care Allowance by €10," he added.
