Ministers are continuing to deliberate on exact plans ahead of Budget 2025 officially being announced on Tuesday, October 1. It has also been hinted that the popular Christmas Bonus could reappear this year, in addition to a lump sum payment for certain social welfare schemes to be paid as early as October. A senior Government source told the Irish Examiner that it's on the table that one cash boost may be paid out directly after the announcement of the Budget.
