A bus driver was injured after their bus collided with a pole in Dublin city center. The driver was the only person on board and sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

A bus driver was rushed to hospital following a collision with a pole that took place on Dame Street in the heart of Dublin city. The incident occurred at around 3.30pm on Friday afternoon.

The driver, a man in his 50s, was the only one aboard when the incident occurred. A statement by An Garda Síochána read: "Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a road traffic collision on Dame Street in Dublin 2 this afternoon, Friday 10th January 2025. A bus collided with a street pole at approximately 3:30pm. "The male driver , and sole occupant of the vehicle, was conveyed to St. James' Hospital for treatment of injuries, not believed to be life-threatening at this time.
