Fire crews were called to the A6 Broad Street near Salford Crescent Station after a truck shed its load on Monday
afternoon . The road was closed to all inbound traffic to 'facilitate recovery' following the incident.
Pictures from the scene on Monday showed a cordon in place around the spillage with two fire engines and police in attendance. Bus operating service Go Northwest warned of one hour long delays on surrounding routes. A GMFRS spokesperson said: "At around midday today , firefighters were called to reports of an incident on Albion Way, Salford, involving containers of soap that had fallen from a lorry onto the roadway.
