A cordon was put in place in the city centre
after a large amount of oil was spilt. Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to Nottingham City Centre on Sunday, June 25, after cooking oil had been spilt on the pavement of Long Row and Greyhound Street.
The cordon could be seen in front of a number of city centre businesses, including Clarks Show Shop and Rush Hair Nottingham. The crew assisted Nottinghamshire Police with the incident. A spokesperson for Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue said: "I can confirm that this incident was on Greyhound Street in Nottingham, and London Road Attended at 11:40am.
"This was a large amount of cooking oil that had spilled onto the pavement – we assisted police with this incident."
