The pint-sized singing Santa, a fixture for over 20 years, has been a cherished tradition for both parents and children, making the theft particularly distressing. The model, which was unplugged and taken from outside Gleeson's Butchers, has garnered over 500,000 views on social media. The store manager, Liam Curtis, is now appealing for its return as it cannot be replaced before Christmas due to sold-out shops.

It's motion sensitive so he starts singing and dancing and saying Ho! Ho! Ho! when anyone comes near him," he says. The original Santa was so loved by one child with special needs that Liam decided to give him the Santa and get a new, similar model this year.
