There had been widespread reports over recent days that jobs at the firm were in jeopardy.
BNY Mellon established a presence in Ireland in 1994 and services global clients from its offices in Dublin, Cork and Wexford. It is believed that the Cork and Dublin offices are not affected by these developments.Do something with your savings before rates fall further The finance company said they would not be commenting during the employee collective consultations process,. but it is understood around five per cent of the Wexford workforce will be offered the chance to work remotely, with the remaining 95 per cent being told their jobs would relocated or they would be made redundant.“The manner in which the staff have been treated here is appalling.

Man in 40s Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash in WexfordA male motorcyclist in his 40s has tragically died following a collision with a car on the R742 near Johnstown, Castlebridge in Co Wexford. Man Arrested After Sophisticated Cannabis Growhouse Found in WexfordA man in his 30s was arrested following the discovery of a large-scale cannabis cultivation operation at a residential property in Courtown, Wexford. Gardaí seized over 170 cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €130,000 and various cultivation equipment. The arrested man was detained under the Criminal Justice (Drugs Trafficking) Act 1996. This operation was conducted as part of Operation Tara, an ongoing Garda initiative targeting drug trafficking networks.
