After six years on our screens as nurse Lucille Robinson, Call the Midwife star Leonie Elliot has reportedly left the show to embark on new projects.
However fans haven’t seen her on screen since the second episode of the current series, when it was revealed that Lucille was suffering from severe depression and had made the decision to leave the streets of Poplar to return home to Jamaica. However, despite leaving London, many fans had hoped the exit was only temporary and that Lucille would soon be back once she had recovered - something which the Mirror reports is not the case and that her exit will now be permanent.“Please make Lucille happy again. On Sunday night’s episode, viewers at home saw him survey Nonnatus House, the home of the nuns and midwives, to help the sale of the building to property developer Matthew Aylward, who has married nurse Trixie Franklin .
