The latest announcement from 1Password is equally big news: the company has laid down a password hacking challenge with a record-breaking $1 million up for grabs.The challenge sounds simple enough: break into a 'white box' account protected by 1Password and capture a 'flag' which, in this case, contains some poor poetry.
Yes, we are talking about bug bounties here. Financial payouts for security researchers, those hackers who search for vulnerabilities to improve product security for the rest of us. The $1 million on offer marks , the vulnerability hunting platform used by 1Password.
