OTTAWA—Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said he is revoking emergency powers his government imposed after police succeeded in shutting down a weekslong protest in Ottawa.
“We are no longer in an emergency situation,” Mr. Trudeau said at a press conference on Wednesday. “Order has been restored and the blockades and occupation are over.” He said police and existing legislation should be enough to prevent further blockades.
